As most of you know, on the 23rd of November, we agreed with all reading club members to have a Christmas “holiday” and put our sessions on hold during the month of December.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!!
We take this opportunity to thank Margarita J. Curbelo for her outstanding presentation given to us about Malcom Lowry´s life work, in particular about his work “Under the volcano”, a book that we had chosen for that occasion. It was indeed a brilliant in-depth analysis as well as very well documented. This as a result brought a higher level of enjoyment when reading the book.
Now in January, back to work. This time we have selected the “Great Gatsby” written by Scott Fitzgerald. It will be presented by our dear friend, professor Melvyn Elphee (in Spanish) on wednesday, the 25th January, at 19,3o as always. We hope that you will have sufficient time to read the book and wish to see you all here that evening.
